Searching globally in OmniFocus for Mac

OmniFocus 2.8 for Mac was released on January 3rd, 2017, and added a global search feature, which helps you locate tasks anywhere in your database. OmniFocus 2.8 is a free update for existing OmniFocus 2 users, and requires Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan or later.

To start searching in OmniFocus 2 for Mac, click the Search field in the Toolbar or use the ⌥⌘F keyboard shortcut. Change the search scope from “Here” to “Remaining” or “Everything” by clicking the magnifying glass icon in the search field in your OmniFocus toolbar. If no items are found when searching with the “Here” scope, we’ll also prompt to see if you’d like to broaden your search.
