One of our goals with Outliner 4 was to focus the feature sets of the Standard and Pro editions to better suit the ways most people actually use the app. To that end, we moved a number of formerly Pro-only features into Outliner 4 Standard:
- Custom headers and footers
- Full template support
- Content list
- Named styles
- Audio recording
- DHTML export
We also moved a few features that were in OmniOutliner 3 Standard into the Professional edition of 4 in an effort to make the inspectors easier to use and less cumbersome:
- AppleScript
- Notes in pane
- Advanced row style controls (including handle visibility and page breaks)
If one of the above features is critical to your workflow, please let us know! Your feedback will help us determine if we need to make any adjustments in later releases.
