OmniFocus for the Web
OmniFocus for the Web is designed to work with OmniFocus on your Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Apple Vision Pro, providing access to your OmniFocus database from any desktop computer with a modern internet browser.
The rest of this manual applies to OmniFocus for the Web, with some exceptions noted below, or in the relevant sections.
Web Features
OmniFocus for the Web supports the core features of OmniFocus:
- Capturing — Add Inbox items, Actions, Projects, Folders, and Tags.
- Editing — Modify Properties of those items, including Title, Status and Flag, Project, Project or Group Type, Tags, Estimated Duration, Defer Date, Planned Date, Due Date, and Notes.
- Organizing — Organize the Outline by using Drag and Drop, Grouping Actions, Grouping Projects, or rearranging items using Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Viewing —
Browse and organize the
Inbox,
Projects,
Tags,
Flagged, and
Forecast perspectives, as well as any
Custom Perspectives created with OmniFocus for Mac, iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro.
- Attachments — View, download, and delete Attachments added with OmniFocus for Mac, iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro.
The following OmniFocus features are not yet supported by OmniFocus for the Web:
- Review
- Notifications
- Repeats
- Actions and Projects already configured will work, but it is not yet possible to edit the configuration.
- Properties added using OmniFocus for Mac, iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro are preserved in your database, but may not be editable using OmniFocus for the Web.
- Settings which sync with Global Scope affect OmniFocus for the Web, but need to be changed using OmniFocus for Mac, iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro.
Accessing OmniFocus for the Web
OmniFocus for the Web requires an OmniFocus subscription.
Once you are subscribed, visit web.omnifocus.com, and use your Omni Account to start working!
Changes and Release Notes
OmniFocus for the Web always offers you the latest version of the app, so you may see something new or updated when logging in after some time away.
Checking the Release Notes is a great way to see what has changed.
Web Shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts in OmniFocus for the Web are similar to those in OmniFocus for Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro, updated for ease-of-use in a browser.
