OmniGraffle is available on Mac and iOS in Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish. The application will automatically match your operating system’s primary language, as long as there’s a localization available for that language. Here is where to find these settings on your device:
- Mac — System Settings
> General > Language & Region - iPhone and iPad — Settings > General > Language & Region
It is also possible to set OmniGraffle to use one of its supported languages independent of your operating system’s primary language. Current versions of macOS, iOS, and iPadOS provide support for choosing what language an app should use when have more than one preferred language enabled. Here is how to do this depending on your device:
Mac
- Go to System Settings > General > Language & Region.
- Click the Add button
under the Applications section. - Select OmniGraffle, then choose the language you want OmniGraffle to use.
iPhone and iPad
- Open Settings .
- Scroll down and tap on OmniGraffle in the list of apps.
- Tap Language, and choose the language you want OmniGraffle to use.
If the instructions above don’t work because you are on an older operating system or only have a single perferred language configured for your device, you can also change the language OmniGraffle will use independently of your operating system’s language using one the following hidden preference links:

You’ll be asked to open OmniGraffle when using any of the above links. To accept the change, press Invoke or OK in the confirmation prompt that appears. After you quit (or force close on iPhone or iPad) and relaunch OmniGraffle, the interface will switch to your selected language.
