How to reinstall an iOS app or install on a new device

iOS apps are exclusively distributed by Apple through the App Store on your iOS device. If you’re looking to reinstall or transfer an app to a new iOS device, whether it’s a current version or past version, see Apple’s instructions on how to view and redownload your apps.

Be sure you’re logged into the same Apple ID and App Store country originally used for your purchase.

Also, be aware that previous versions of our apps that have been removed from sale will not appear when doing a normal search in the App Store, but they can be found using the instructions linked to above.


Restore a past purchase

If the features you purchased are not enabled automatically after downloading the app, you can manually restore past purchases to reactivate those features:

  • Open the app.
  • Go to Settings > In-App Purchases.

    In OmniFocus 4, go to Settings > License > In-App Purchases.

  • Tap Restore Purchases.

  • Sign into your Omni Account (if you have one).
  • If you don’t have an Omni Account or no registered purchases are found for your account, tap Restore from App Store.
