In June 2020, we introduced an Omni Accounts login-based method, which simplifies the process of unlocking our apps, independent from how the app was purchased. You no longer need to remember the specifics of how you bought the app when installing the app on another device. For example, originally buy the app from the Mac App Store, but then re-download the app directly from our web site? Not a problem anymore!

Unlocking the app for the first time
When opening the app for the first time on a given device, sign into the app with your Omni Account when prompted during the initial first-run screens. This will automatically unlock a 2-week free trial for first-time users, or unlock and license the app with a registered purchase.
Managing your Omni Account within the app
The instructions below go over how to manage the Omni Account for the app that is already in use, which can vary depending on the app. Use these steps to sign in to the app with your Omni Account, sign out, and switch accounts. This is also how you can confirm what account you are currently signed into and what your current licensing state is.

Choose OmniFocus > Unlock OmniFocus or Manage Omni Account and Purchases in the menu bar.
OmniGraffle 7 for Mac
Choose OmniGraffle > Unlock OmniGraffle or Manage Omni Account and Purchases in the menu bar.
OmniOutliner 6 for Mac
Choose OmniOutliner > License in the menu bar.
OmniPlan 4 for Mac
Choose OmniPlan > Unlock OmniPlan or Manage Omni Account and Purchases in the menu bar.
iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro

Choose 
> Settings in the toolbar, then go to License > Omni Account.

Go to the document browser, and choose 
> Omni Account in the toolbar.

If viewing the document browser, choose > License in the toolbar.
If viewing a document, choose > OmniOutliner > License in the toolbar.
From the License pane, choose either Omni Account or Sign In, depending on whether you are already signed into an account or not.

Go to the document browser, and choose > Omni Account in the toolbar.
